What is the NOAA Image of the Day?
The NOAA Image of the Day is produced by the Operational Significant Event Imagery team which is assigned to NOAA Satellite and Information Services. The Operational Significant Event Imagery team consists of scientists who monitor significant environmental events for their current or potential severity and scope. This image is updated every 24 hours Monday thru Friday.
