About This Station
The station is powered by a wireless Vantage Pro 2 Plus weather station. The data is collected every 2.5 seconds and the site is updated every 5 minutes. The Live Weather feature is updated every 10 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain gauge, 24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield, UV and solar radiation sensors situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
About This Area
The NC 50 and 210 Hwy (McGee’s Crossroads Community) was founded almost 75 years ago. The community is mostly a farming community and continues to maintain a friendly environment. Some business in the area is still conducted with a hand shake. The actual weather station is situated in the Desert Pines Subdivision. This residential community is located on large wooded lots and was established approximately 15 years ago.
